USC Lifebox Wins W.O.W! SO Booths Contest
The ‘Vanguards of Life,’ USC Lifebox, emerged as the winner of the W.O.W! Student Organization (SO) Booths organized by the Supreme Student Council (SSC) out of the 44 participating student organizations of the university held last June 17-19, 2014 at the Lawrence Bunzel Building in Talamban Campus, Wrocklage Yard in Downtown Campus, and CoEd lobby in South Campus.
Coming up second is the Chemical Engineering Society (CHES), ‘Vanguards of Excellence and Service,’ and finishing third is the Society of Circuit Researchers, ‘Vanguards of Electronics Enthusiasts.’
Aside from the top 3 winners of the SO Booth contest, special awards were also given to some student organizations. The Association of Civil Engineering Students – USC (ACES-USC), ‘Vanguards of Leadership and Camaraderie,’ received the Most Liked Booth award for having the most number of Facebook ‘likes’ for their booth. The Junior Philippine Pharmacists Association (JPPhA) – Pi Chapter, ‘Vanguards of Career Path Makers,’ also garnered the Best Booth Advocacy. Moreover, the Most Unique Booth award was given to Datalogics Society, ‘Vanguards of User Data Interaction.’ Lastly, the Most Innovative Booth award went to Chemical Engineering Society.
The W.O.W! SO Booths aimed to showcase the identities of each of the different student organizations of the university, both co-curricular and extracurricular. For this year’s SO Booth, it was pegged with the theme: W.O.W! USC Student Organizations: Vanguards of Carolinian Holistic Development. Every organization is a vanguard of their respective organizations’ advocacies.
