Kuris is the annual literary festival of Today’s Carolinian that is open to all bona fide tertiary students of USC who are interested to submit literary entries for the chance to be published on our literary folio this December. This is where the creative prowess of every Carolinian is under the spotlight.

Here are the full mechanics of this year’s Kuris LitFest:

1. Entries may be in the form of short stories, poems or essays and must be related to the theme Obsession.

2. Entries may be written in English, Filipino or Cebuano only.

3. There is no word count limit per entry.

4. Entries must not have been published in any form prior to the contest.

5. Entries must be submitted in an MS Word document file to [email protected] with the subject and file name: LitFest_[TITLE]_[FamilyName]. The first page of the entry must contain: Name, course and year, e-mail address, contact number, and the title. The write-up shall follow on the next page.

6. Contestants may only submit one entry. If more than one entry is submitted by the same person, only the first eligible entry submitted will be considered.

7. Deadline for the submission of entries is on November 14.

8. All winning entries will be published in the Kuris literary folio this December with an illustration accompanying each entry done by a TC illustrator. The top three entries will be announced and awarded with prizes during the awarding ceremony on December 10.
